Country’s leading mobile service provider, Ncell has launched an attractive scheme ‘Roaming Reward’ for customers using its roaming service. With the scheme, any Ncell postpaid or prepaid customer while travelling outside the country can now earn points/miles when making calls and use the points/miles thus received for free flights or hotel stays.
The scheme, coming into effect from March 3, is introduced in partnership with Travelling Connect, the first global rewarding program with a focus on roaming customers. It aims at providing additional benefits to the customers who travel frequently and participate in the loyalty programs of airlines companies and hotels.
Under the Roaming Reward, customers get 1 point/miles for every 1 minute outgoing call while on roaming. Apart from free air ticket or hotel stay, the points earned are also redeemable for other goods and services that the partners provide in their loyalty programs.
To get benefited from this scheme, customers are required to register themselves in Ncell Roaming Club via Ncell website with name, email, mobile numbers and other details before travelling to any destination out of the country.
While registering, customers need to choose a loyalty program from the list of more than 30 participating airlines including Jet Airways, Air India, American Airlines, Thai Airways, Etihad Airways, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Malaysia Airlines, among others and hotels brands like Marriott, Hilton and InterContinental Hotel Group.
Upon successful registration, a confirmation email will be sent by Traveling Connect. Every month Traveling Connect will send an email with the amount of miles earned in that month. It will take up to 45 days after the month in which calls are made before miles or points are credited to in the respective accounts of the customers registering for the roaming rewards.
“Customers can update their account by changing loyalty program, email or their mobile number and see overview of earned miles. They can add up to 3 additional mobile numbers,” said Milan Sharma, corporate communication expert of Ncell. “Roaming Reward will add value to our customers as it enables them to earn frequent flier miles while staying connected with their family and friends from abroad.”
Travelling Connect has been partnering with one operator in each country exclusively for the roaming reward program. This means only Ncell customers from Nepal can avail this facility while travelling with roaming facility in their mobile phone. Data and SMS roaming is not applicable for this reward program.
