April 13, 2017: Ncell, the leading GSM mobile service provider of the country, on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2074 has launched attractive roaming schemes to its customers who requires voice, text and data connectivity while travelling outside the country.
The offer enables all prepaid and postpaid customers of Ncell to enjoy Daily Roaming Data Pack, Daily Roaming Voice and SMS Pack enabling all Ncell customers to communicate with their dear ones back home and business partners in respective roaming countries at affordable rate. These schemes are coming into effect from Thursday (April 13).
Under the Daily Roaming Data Pack, customers can take benefit of access to unlimited data service by activating the pack for free. This data pack costs Rs 500 (including taxes) which will remain active unless customers deactivate the product. The pack will be automatically renewed every midnight as per Nepal Standard Time. But, charge Rs 500 of the pack will be applied only when customers use data. In other word, charge will not apply, if data is not used. The pack will be applicable in 53 countries including India, China, Hong Kong, USA and UK, among others across the globe.
For customers who needs to use voice and SMS service during travel, they can subscribe Daily Roaming Voice and SMS Pack at just Rs. 500 (including taxes). Upon activation of this pack, customers during roaming can get 25 minutes of Outgoing Call for calling back to Nepal and respective roaming countries, 25 minutes of Incoming calls and 25 units of Outgoing SMS. The pack will be valid for 24 hours from the time of activation.
Based on their requirement, the voice and SMS pack can be subscribed as many times as customers prefer and the service will be applicable in 35 countries including India, China, Hong Kong, USA, Germany and UAE, among others.
Both offers – Daily Roaming Data Pack and Voice and SMS Pack – can be activated by dialing *17129# and follow instructions accordingly.
Meanwhile, the company has made roaming service available by default for prepaid customers for all destinations that have prepaid roaming service of Ncell available. Customers traveling to international destinations with their mobile phone will be notified about availability of roaming service as soon as they reach respective countries. However; this will not be applicable for India and China. Customers need to activate the service separately to use roaming while traveling to India and China by dialing same short code *17129# and following instruction accordingly. Voice, data and SMS service will work in this default roaming service and customers can buy data or voice and SMS pack as per their requirement.

Once the validity of voice and SMS pack expires or volume under the pack is fully used, normal existing roaming rates defined for respective countries will be charged. Customers subscribing Daily Roaming Data Pack can deactivate the service by dialing *17129# and selecting option to discontinue the service. By dialing *101#, customers can know about their remaining volume of the pack.
