inDrive Launches ‘Ride to Support’ Campaign

Kathmandu – inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has launched a new campaign in Nepal called ‘Ride to Support’. This community-based initiative aims to improve the condition of sports facilities in local primary schools by using a portion of ride fares to fund renovations and equipment.
The campaign, which will run throughout the month of May, will contribute 10 percent of the fare from every third ride taken through its platform toward the renovation of school playgrounds. In addition to improving playground infrastructure, the campaign will provide sports kits for basketball, badminton, and futsal. The goal is to give children access to safe and engaging spaces where they can play, learn, and grow.
This initiative reflects inDrive’s ongoing mission to challenge inequality and bring positive change to underserved communities. By integrating social impact with everyday services, the platform is encouraging its users to be a part of something greater. Every third ride becomes more than a commute; it becomes a contribution to the betterment of local schools and the children who attend them.
Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communication Lead at inDrive, emphasized the power of community-driven action. She stated that when people come together for a cause, even small efforts can lead to significant outcomes. “We believe that campaigns like ‘Ride to Support’ allow our users to take meaningful steps toward social equity. Every trip made in May helps create better opportunities for young students by providing them with the tools and environments they need to thrive,” she said.
The funds raised will directly support the renovation of school playgrounds and the distribution of sports kits. These improvements will help schools offer a more complete and engaging educational experience, promoting physical activity, teamwork, and overall development among children.
This campaign also aligns with the work of inVision, inDrive’s non-profit arm. inVision focuses on empowering communities through programs in education, sports, arts, and gender equality. The Ride to Support campaign is one of several efforts that inDrive is undertaking to meet its broader goal of positively impacting one billion lives by 2030.
inDrive is currently active in 888 cities across 48 countries. Its app has been downloaded more than 280 million times, and it has been ranked as the second most downloaded mobility app globally for three consecutive years. With the Ride to Support campaign, inDrive invites users in Nepal to be part of a meaningful effort. Each ride taken in May can help bring real change to the lives of young children. By riding together with purpose, the community can help create a future where every child has access to quality play spaces and the opportunity to flourish.
