Everest Tea Estate is located 42 km of Kathmandu. Prof. Som Gauchan retired from Tribhuwan University and started Everest Tea Estate (P) Ltd. in 1995AD. The Estate produces Orthodox Green Tea and have been successful in satisfying tea connoisseurs since then. The tea garden is in the lap of the Shivapuri Mountain range nestled at an altitude from 4,200-6,200 ft above the sea level at Jaisi Gaun, Bhotechaur VDC, Sindhupalchowk District, Nepal where nature has bestowed the perfect climate for orthodox tea farming.
