March 19, 2017: Hansraj Hulaschand Co. Pvt. Ltd., the sole distributor of Bajaj motorcycle, has announced the launch of the all-new Bajaj Dominar 400. The much-awaited sports cruiser, the Dominar, comes at an irresistible price of Rs. 4, 69,900.
The new Dominar 400 promises a striking experience like no other motorcycle. The beating heart and soul of motorcycle is its engine. With modern chassis engineering and brilliantly mated 373.3 cc triple spark DTS-I engine, the Dominar 400 separates the men from boys. With its massive presence, the most uncompromised and purest of forms, it is capable of producing 35 PS @ 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 NM @ 6500 rpm. It is also paired to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch and has a top speed of 148 KMPH. Taking power train performance to a new level, the Dominar 400 is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in 8.23 seconds and braking from 100kmph to 0 within 46.19 meters. The advanced liquid cooling system ensures smooth engine performance even on long rides. Quite simply it is the most advanced motorcycle ever made by the company.
A 320 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear with dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) take hold of the braking duties. The bike receives 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 section tyres up-front and 150/60 section tyres at the rear. The Dominar 400 comes with a massive perimeter frame and contoured pressed-steel swing arm to deliver a rock –solid ride. It possesses 43 mm telescopic forks at the front and a multi-step adjustable mono shock. The Dominar 400 also owns first-in-segment features like full LED headlamps with Automatic Headlamp on (AHO) function as standard that delivers rousing performance through a combination of unique and patented technologies.
Displaying its masterful size and stance, the Bajaj Dominar measures a length of 2156 mm, width of 813 mm and a height of 1112 mm. The bike has a wheelbase of 1453 mm while ground clearance stands at 157 mm. Similarly, the bike’s fuel tank capacity is 13 liters and weights 182 kgs. The fine handling, dynamic stability and rock solid road holding that the Dominar 400 delivers; it owes its existence to its engineering marvel.
