Applications Open for 11th Edition of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal
Kathmandu – The much-awaited 11th edition of Golchha Group Presents Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025 has officially opened its applications, inviting transformative teenagers from across the country to showcase their achievements and impact. Organized by Glocal Pvt. Ltd., a prominent enterprise committed to education, training, and skill development, the Glocal Teen Hero (GTH) initiative continues to honor exceptional young changemakers who are actively shaping society beyond conventional academics.
First launched in 2015 with a vision to recognize teenage talents in the Kathmandu Valley, GTH rapidly expanded its reach nationwide in 2016. With its mission of youth empowerment transcending borders, the platform went international with editions launched in India (2019), Sri Lanka (2020), and Bangladesh (2022). Over the past decade, the initiative has grown into a prestigious platform spotlighting the creativity, innovation, and leadership of teenagers not only in Nepal but also across South Asia. Now, entering its 11th year, Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025 calls upon dedicated and visionary teens to take part in this transformative journey.
Teenagers aged 13 to 19 across Nepal are eligible to apply, especially those who have been doing remarkable work in their communities or specific fields. The program seeks youth who demonstrate creativity, leadership, and a service-oriented mindset, taking their efforts beyond classroom learning to deliver real-world impact. Interested individuals may apply online via the official portal at https://glocalteenhero.com/nepal, with the deadline for application submission set for July 30, 2025. The platform also welcomes nominations of deserving candidates from community members, allowing broader participation and recognition.
This year’s GTH Nepal embarks on an ambitious outreach mission, aiming to connect with teenagers from more than 60 cities across Nepal, from east to west. As part of the application process, candidates will be evaluated based on the depth, sustainability, and significance of their work. Following a rigorous review, the prestigious Glocal’s 20under20 list will be unveiled, highlighting the most promising applicants. From this pool, six finalists will be chosen to compete in the grand finale of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025. These finalists will be assessed not only on their accomplishments but also on their character, vision, and lasting impact.
The final event will be judged by a panel of distinguished leaders and influencers, including Ms. Chandrika Kalia, Country Director of Coca-Cola Nepal; Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, Country Director of WWF Nepal and renowned conservationist; Mrs. Seema Golchha, Director of Golchha Group; Mr. Suraj Vaidya, President of Vaidya’s Organization of Industries & Trading Houses (VOITH); and Mr. Thomas Miller, Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union to Nepal. Their insights, experience, and commitment to youth leadership will shape the selection of Nepal’s next teen icon.
Backed by a robust network of partners, this year’s edition reflects an unprecedented level of collaboration. Glocal Pvt.
