Poudel meets Paudel, Leadership Shift at NRB

Kathmandu – Newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel on Thursday morning at the Ministry of Finance.

On the occasion, Finance Minister Paudel extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for a successful tenure. He expressed his belief that the newly appointed Governor would play a significant role in addressing the problems seen in the economy and the monetary sector by moving forward with coordination between fiscal and monetary policies.

Governor Poudel stated that the Ministry of Finance leads the country’s economy, while Nepal Rastra Bank supports the implementation of fiscal policy through monetary policy. He emphasised strengthening the supervisory capacity of the central bank to enhance the effectiveness of the financial sector.

Also present on the occasion were Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari; Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyaya; and Revenue Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, who extended their congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed Governor Poudel.
