International Women Leadership Conclave Kicks Off in Lalitpur

Lalitpur – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the International Women Leadership Conclave 2025 today, emphasizing the need for collective efforts by the government, youth, and women entrepreneurs to drive national prosperity through entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the event organized by the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal, Prime Minister Oli highlighted that sustainable development and economic growth can only be achieved by fostering a strong entrepreneurial culture, especially among women and young people.
“We must achieve prosperity through the development of entrepreneurship,” said the Prime Minister. “The government places high priority on youth and women-led enterprises. The outcomes of this conclave will support our national goals.”
He further noted that Nepal has made progress in empowering women, both constitutionally and in practice. “We have ensured at least 33 percent representation of women at all three levels of government. In schools, the number of female students has surpassed that of males, and girls are consistently performing better academically,” he said.
Oli encouraged participants to continue striving for greater achievements and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing gender equality and inclusive economic growth.
The international conclave has brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from Nepal and abroad to discuss leadership, innovation, and strategies for inclusive development.
