100-Member Chinese Photographer Team Visits Nepal to Promote Culture and Tourism

Kathmandu – A 100-member team of Chinese photographers has arrived in Nepal to capture the country’s rich culture, heritage, and tourism through their lenses.
The team is visiting Nepal under the program titled “Lens on Nepal: 100 Chinese Photographers Capturing Culture, Heritage, and Tourism,” jointly organized by the China-Nepal Friendship Forum, Nepal Tourism Board, and the National Forum of Photojournalists.
The Chinese photographers were warmly welcomed upon their arrival in Nepal.
This program has been organized to mark Nepal Visit Year 2025 and the 70th anniversary of Nepal-China diplomatic relations. Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma, the co-ordinator of the forum, highlighted that this event will serve as a significant opportunity to promote Nepal’s tourism on an international scale.
Renowned Chinese photographers participating in the event will visit various tourist, cultural, and historical sites across Nepal, capturing the natural beauty and cultural heritage through their photographs. According to Pradeep Raj Onta, President of the National Photojournalist Group, the photographers will also take colorful photos of Nepal’s vibrant celebrations during the Fagu Purnima (Holi) festival.
Member of Parliament Urmila Majhi and Nepal Tourism Board Manager Surya Thapaliya emphasized that the arrival of the Chinese photographers marks an important achievement in Nepal’s tourism promotion efforts.
The welcoming ceremony featured a musical performance by the band Sukarma.
The Chinese photographers are expected to showcase Nepal’s culture, lifestyle, and traditional heritage globally through their work. It is believed that such events will significantly contribute to strengthening Nepal-China relations and elevating Nepal’s tourism to new heights.
